So-Called Dollars

This site is to help dealers and collectors to identify the so-called dollars, as contained in the reference book by a major U.S. dollars Hibler and Kappen. There are many species of dollars in circulation is not known to Hibler and Kappen through research programs and a group of his friends, and included in these pages as often as possible.

Will see changes in this site:
1) There is rarely included on the site. Should be included in the book, but the price will be deleted from both.
2) all the color pictures on the site. We are trying to get these pictures of the so-called dollars.

5) Part IV is now included in Parts I, II and III

New changes in the book:
1) a large number of images.

3) more of the items, including the types and elements of a completely new.
4) are given in mm sizes and is not in the 16th edition of inches in 1963.
5) Eglit cross-reference to Turner, Rulau, and many others.
6) As is clear from Part IV to be included in Parts I, II and III for the moment, are still the same.
7) We look forward to some of the color plates. The amount of color depends on the cost.

This page has not been completed at this time. Working hard for what is not included in the stock market dollars, will increase as soon as possible. We are also working a job site, as we go along. We hope to complete early in 2008.

By Hibler and Kappen book down the dollar this way:

This work was limited to medals and cash kindred nature. ... From the outset, but it is necessary to adopt the following specific restrictions, to include efforts to control the area around:
1. United States only.
2. Minimum diameter - size 21 (1-5/16 inches or 33 mm).
3. Maximum diameter - Size 28 (1-3/4 inch or 45 mm), and Brian on the silver dollars.
4. Shave holes or as a simple physical beatings. No. of 1 to 3 is the only exception.
5. It is not plastic, fiber or similar material, if not one or more of the metals.
6. No presidential or purely political medals.
7. Any school or college or sports medals, club or non-US currency of the armed forces medals.
8. And not the calendar, or card, or emergency cash or commercial codes.
