Apple's $30 apology for iPhone activation delays?

In the 3G iPhone users are still with the delays activate their smartphones, but Apple apparently wants to do for consumers.

Apple has started to affect the customer notification via email on Sunday that they may experience a further delay of two days due to "system issues" and "high volumes of activation, according to readers of other blogs that claim to be received e-mail. The problem started as soon as the new iPhone launch on Friday.

As a way of apology for the delay, the same e-mail, said Apple plans to offer the customer a 30 $ iTunes store credit loan for any inconvenience this has caused the delay. "

Here are the full text of the e-mail:

Apple Dear Customer,

Thank you for your recent Apple store line. Thanks for your patience and apologize for the inconvenience caused by delays in the iPhone activation.

We are still solving problems encountered when activating your iPhone with AT & T. Unfortunately, because of problems of the system and continued high volumes of activation, it may take us an additional 48 hours to complete.

On Monday, you will receive an email from the Apple iTunes Store credits amounting to $ 30. We hope that you enjoy this gift and accept our apologies for any inconvenience this has caused the delay.

Thank you for choosing Apple.

Regards,
Apple Online Store Team

Apple representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

During the June launch of new iPhone customers, while trying to complete the required activation process in store, AT & T activation servers are overloaded slow line Apple Store in the index, and finally crashed servers entirely. Apple will soon ditch in store activation and was simply "unbricking" phones, consumer information to enable them home and not to hold the line because of crashed servers.

In contrast to the frenzied first day of salts and the original iPhone last year's 3G iPhone, Friday marked the beginning of a much smaller crowd and the silence of a smartphone debut.

One analyst expects Apple to sell 500,000 iPhones this weekend. About half as many phones as Apple sells when it launched 3G iPhone, Apple, but it sells the phone in 21 countries on the first day. In comparison, S 3G iPhone will be sold in eight countries in its first day.
