Green-car loans awarded to Ford, Nissan, Tesla

The U.S. government, which plans to start developing a new generation of fuel efficient cars on the basis of advanced technologies Vehicles Manufacturing Loan Program, Thursday announced some of the winners of the loan.

Ford Motor received loans amounting to 5.9 billion dollars, it will be a large number of initiatives, fuel efficiency, a 1.6 billion dollar loan for Nissan in Tennessee to help Retrofitting plants for power cars.

Tesla Motors is also the winner of the program, receives 465 million dollars in loans, many of which will be used for the construction of facilities for the production of the recently announced Model S electric sedan.

At U.S. $ 25 million Advanced Technology Program has been in discussion for some time, and the automakers are lining up to take credit for the program. Provision that is the only viable companies can get credits for the program caused by General Motors and Chrysler applications will be rejected, even if the two companies developed a hybrid electric cars and platforms.

Ford announced earlier this year plans to release electric car in 2011, developed in collaboration with providers of Magna Steyr. The Company will be used for loans, vehicles, together with the commercial electric vehicle based on the model in Transit 2010.

Nissan was one of the leaders among major automakers in the promotion of pure electric vehicles, promising to make a meal of the lithium ion battery pack roads in the U.S. for 2010.

As a demonstration of technology, Nissan showed its EV-02 test mule for journalists, the electric car, using the Nissan Cube platform, which has been given the number of about 100 million. The company develops its Tennessee plant to manufacture 150,000 cars per year electric, batteries and associated production will produce 200,000 lithium ion pack years. Plant is scheduled to start production in 2012.

Other automakers are expected to seek solutions. One of these applicants, a bright, Indiana Automotive, plans bini commercial plug-in hybrid electric vehicles for fleet use. The Company has not received a single word or a timetable for its implementation.
