Lanka cricket team attack: Pakistan arrests one suspect

Taliban militant was arrested for his involvement in a terrorist attack during a visit to Sri Lanka cricket team in March of this year,
Police said on Wednesday.

Lahore, Pervez Rathore said the police chief Nek Mohammad Zubair known to have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the attack.

Zubair had been killed a traffic policeman here during the attack on March 3 that the terrorists ambushed a bus of the Sri Lankan cricket team.

Rathore said that seven of the terrorists involved in the attack, which killed eight people and wounding many others, including some players from Sri Lanka. Dr. Aqil Osman otherwise identify the mastermind of the attack.

Osman, a resident of Kahuta in Punjab province, and received training at the hands of the commander of Tehrik-Taliban Pakistan, Baitullah Mehsud, believed to also be in an attempt to the life of former President Pervez Musharraf.

The officials said that all the terrorists involved in the attack on the relationship with the local unit of the Taliban.
